Why 'P'olitician Kiran Bedi is as good as a Satish Upadhyay

India's first woman IPS and childhood ideal to many Kiran Bedi has joined politics just a few days ago. She has joined Bhartiya Janta Party, a party which is enjoying its best ever electoral success at this point of time. Needless to say that she has been parachuted to fill the leadership void of BJP Delhi state unit. As all the media surveys indicate that BJP in the absence of any popular and credible face was trailing behind  Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with Arvind Kejriwal as its CM candidate in this face-war.
Meanwhile she is being severely criticized for joining BJP. Not only for she joined BJP but all these years she pretended to remain apolitical and ridiculed the malpractices of different parties including the BJP. She asked tough questions to Narendra Modi on his role in 2002 massacre on twitter. She tweeted on corruptions of Yedurappa and Nitin Gadkari. She had questioned Modi's spineless Lokayukt Act in Gujarat in the past. She has said in her tweets that those parties not willing to come under RTI do not deserve her vote. She has advocated to make "Caged Parrot" CBI  free from government control. She had agitated against the government for a strict Janlokpal Bill with Anna Hazare.
But then she agreed with an ineffective Lokpal Act which will reportedly able to tackle only 40% corruption.  She has changed her stances on all these things in the last one year. Why this sudden change of heart ? What changes BJP brought in it self in the last one year that Kiran Bedi publicly started showing her soft corner towards BJP ? Will she dare to ask these tough questions to BJP and it's leaders at the party platform ? Looking at the kind of "NaMo Aarti" (literally) she has been doing on Twitter for the last 6-7 months one can easily anticipate the answer.  Isn't it what people call opportunism and adulation ? Then what's the thing that differentiates the Politician "Kiran Bedi- a woman of substance" from a Satish Upadhyay or a Jagdish Mukhi or any Delhi BJP leader whosoever ?
For an example if center decides to minimize the retirement age of government employees from 60 years to 58, being in BJP has she the guts to take on central government ? Then how one can believe that She is different from any other BJP leader despite having an image of honest and brave lady ? Like a typical BJP leader she is basking some '5 S and 6 Ps' formula in her speeches but not telling her concrete agenda rather some blueprint for the solutions of Delhi's problems and development. The Delhi BJP leaders, earlier-at helms were doing the same, no ?

Another motive of bringing her in the party fold was to inspire the local leadership and to revitalize the unconcerned volunteers. She miserably failed on both these fronts. Forget about taking inspiration her own party colleagues didn't find her convincing at all. If going through the expressions and statements of Delhi BJP leaders they seemed disenchanted with her first speech in the party headquarters. The news about the infighting of Delhi BJP  leaders under Satish Upadhyay was also doing rounds for a while. As soon as Ms. Bedi joined BJP the matter came out in open and it's enough to expose her political immaturity and leadership inexperience. Only time will tell that how much this strategy of fielding Ms. Bedi just prior to polls pays off to BJP.
